Why this app?
Reason 2: It turns your ringer (etc.) off.
Reason 1: It turns it back on.
Very useful: the timer feature.

As a teacher and a professor, I recommend all of my students get this app. It saves a lot of grief and avoids unnecessary disturbances in class.
As a student, you need this app so you dont have to remember to switch your phone to silent before coming to class.

As a father and a husband, I need this app so I dont have to remember to switch my phone back on after class.

If your phone is running hot or if your battery is running down, thats not because of this app. Its just the NSA rifling through your phone data...

That said; if you are running an older iOS, your phone may be registering its location more frequently than it is supposed to. Run the update and it should solve the problem.
